Hey everybody, David Taylor here, founder and CEO of DTD– back with another video to help you build a digital ecosystem.

I know how overwhelming the idea of creating a digital ecosystem can be. So I like to break it down into phases, so it’s more manageable. This is a general approach and can certainly change depending on the industry you’re in, but this is the gist and list to think about when rolling out digital marketing.

Phase 1 – is the Foundation Phase where we establish your online presence. Some things to consider tackling: Update and/or Optimize your Website: Start by visiting your company’s website. Pretend to be a customer. How is the experience? Did the website load fast enough? Put yourself in your customers shoes. In this phase you can also set up Google My Business page Start a branded Social Media Account Establish relevant Keywords and phrases that people search at Google Benchmark key metrics and review them monthly to look for trends.

Phase 2 – is the Traffic Phase Start a Search Engine Optimization Campaign by blogging about your prospects problems, and the solutions to those problems you offer. The Traffic phase is where Email Marketing comes into play. Also consider On-page SEO Edits to attract Google Search Robots, A Google PPC Advertising campaign. And Set up automated email sequences using Hubspot to keep prospects warm as they are considering solutions.

And finally, Phase 3 – this is the Reputation Phase. This is where you focus on managing your company’s reputation. Now would be a good time to roll out Social Media Advertising. You can start collecting reviews, and actively respond to any reviews customers may have left. Build your website authority with Link building Strategies like, getting links from other websites to link back to your website. You can also create branded downloadable documents like White Papers and eBooks and start tracking website visitors using Hubspot Taking a phased approach allows you to grow your marketing efforts while still having time to focus on your day-to-day work at your company.
